Wi-Fi Hot Spots

Even though New Orleans is rooted in history, the city manages to live in the 21st century at the same time.  You are in luck if your hotel or host can provide you with Internet access, but don’t worry if they can’t.  Free wi-fi hot spots can be found in virtually every neighborhood, and 411 NOLA lists the majority of them here.  Listings are organized by geographic location.  If you have an update on any of these spots or know of other free wi-fi spots in Orleans Parish, then please email 411 NOLA will the info.  Please note that with free wi-fi at more than 11,500 participating McDonald’s restaurants around the country, customers can access the Internet using their laptops or PDAs at no charge.  Some New Orleans McDonald’s locations are listed here.  Go to the McDonald’s website to find a directory of participating restaurants around the rest of the city.

Airport

One of the amenities of Louis Armstrong International Airport is free wi-fi.  Reception is best in the main terminal.  Picking up a signal in the Delta-area of the airport can be iffy.
