411 NOLA loves to discover out-of-the-way exhibits. Alexander Allison’s New Orleans on display at the Main Library is one such exhibit. This free exhibit comprises selections of photographer Alexander Allison’s views of the city of New Orleans and his images of family-related activities at home, around Louisiana, and in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, 1899 – 1958. There are 4 main art districts in the city. You’ll find many galleries on Royal St. in the French Quarter, on Magazine St. Uptown, on Julia St. and surrounding streets in the Arts District, and in the St. Claude Arts District in the Bywater.
